Plan for the Inevitable…

Pre-planning for your loved ones is a natural part of life because it provides you with time to make final arrangements and make decisions when you are calm and rational and not during a time of heightened emotion. Pre-registering with us can be done by downloading the two forms found under the tab "Forms", mailing them to our office with the registration fee or phoning our office to schedule an appointment to meet with one of our staff.  It doesn't take much time and can save worry and concern later.

To pre-register, complete entirely the Statistical Information Sheet and Authorization for Cremation documents found under our "Forms" tab, return them to our office (by US mail or in person) with the one time, non-refundable $35.00 fee for one person or $50.00 for two people who are pre-registering at the same time.  For clients that are not pre-registered with us, the charge is $ 1,275.00, however, for those who pre-register with us, our charge is $ 950.00.  Our charges include: removal  of the deceased from the place of death within our service area (at no additional charge), the cremation container the individual is placed in for cremation, the cremation process itself, the return of the cremated remains in a solid container suitable for storage (or burial depending on the requirements of individual cemeteries), completion and filing of the death certificate with the County Clerk in the county in which the death occurred, notification of Social Security, scheduling of burial or entombment at a National Cemetery, assistance with DHS  SER applications, and assistance with paperwork for Bay County Burial Benefits for Honorably Discharged Veterans.  We provide service to clients in all Mid and Northern Michigan counties.  Please note that there is no mileage charge for those within our service area which includes: Arenac, Bay, Midland, Saginaw, Tuscola, Iosco, Gladwin, Genesee & Shiawassee Counties.  For other counties a minimal mileage charge will apply.   We invite families to utilize us as a resource and are available to assist with composing obituaries, printing memorial folders or holy cards, urns, jewelry, and placement of an obituary on TV.  Please note that we do not offer embalming, hearse, public viewing, or caskets.

    Why Should I Plan Ahead

Planning ahead relieves your family of the burden of making decisions during an emotionally difficult time.  By pre-planning, your survivors don't have to speculate on "what you would have wanted".  Being respectful of your wishes helps those you leave behind mesh your wishes with their needs...thereby creating a service or celebration that honors you and helps them move through the grief they find themselves in.                   Pre-planning is a gesture of love to those you will leave behind. For clients that are not pre-registered with us, the charge is $ 1,275.00, however, for those who pre-register with us, our charge is $ 950.00 .
