Obituary of Jayne Kay Everitt

Please share a memory of Jayne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Jayne Everitt, of Rose City, formerly of Akron, Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2024, after a long illness. She was born on June 24, 1938, to the late Luri and Phila Cramer. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Calvin, and her precious daughter Sally.

She enjoyed a full life and treasured, most of all, gatherings and time with her family. Nothing made her more happy than to have her whole family around her kitchen or summer cabin for holidays and birthdays. Jayne and Calvin’s home on Esmond Road was the epicenter of family activities for decades. For love, laughter and fun, they never disappointed. Jayne also cherished her annual fishing trips with Cal to the Upper Peninsula, and loved snowmobiling, cooking, crafts and gardening.

She is survived by her children, Kevin (Candy) Everitt, Donald “Duke” (Steve) Everitt and Kelle “Pete” (Brandi) Everitt; seven loving grandchildren, Danny, Tiffany, Beau, Trisha, Wyatt, Dakota and Dylan; as well as six (and counting) great-grandchildren who were the apples of her eye.  She is also survived by Verleen Benjamin, her sister-in-law and dear friend. Jayne will be profoundly missed by all of them.

The family will receive friends for a memorial celebration of Jayne’s life at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2024, at the Trinity UMC hall,125 W. Main Street, Rose City, Michigan.
